Pt 3: iPhone Voice Commands, Notifications, Voice to Text/Text To Voice

This is the third and final part of my series on voice options for  iDevices.  The following tweak requires your iDevice to be Jailbroken.

Today we are going to talk about Voice ActionMenu Plugin, a free Cydia tweak.  This is one of my favorite tweaks.  When combined with ActionMenu, these tweaks really come in handy.

Best part, ActionMenu & Voice ActionMenu Plugin are Bruce T's favorite price, FREE, via Cydia.

Open up Cydia and install the following:

                 

Once installed, you can access these tweaks through your iDevice Settings app.

Basically, Voice ActionMenu Plugin give you the ability to highlight text on your iDevice, and the text will be read back to you.  Awesome.  Works with Safari, email, and SMS messages.  When combined with the extended copy and paste abilities given to you by ActionMenu, becomes a very powerful tool.
